Johanna Archipley
Born to a couple of pioneer hippies in the high desert of Northern New Mexico, Johanna has been a creative weirdo from the beginning. By the age of 13, there was no question that art was a passionate focal point in her life, leading her to a boarding school in Southern California, which specialized in creative studies.
From there, she found her way to Rhode Island School of Design on a merit scholarship, where she received a BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design, with a minor in Painting and Art History. After graduating, she spent a year living in Florence Italy, apprenticing under some of Europe’s most well known contemporary jewelry artists. She developed and produced her own jewelry line, which was showcased and sold in galleries throughout the U.S. and Europe. Her work was published in a number of design books and magazines.
That year abroad fueled her passion for travel, leading her to visit many other countries, both in Europe and Asia. Johanna spent a number of months meandering through India, to source gemstones for her jewelry line and to explore her curiosity of Buddhist meditation, spirituality and yoga. She fell in love with all of it, spending six weeks getting certified as a yoga instructor, as well as immersing herself in countless silent meditation retreats: a practice that she has continued to follow to this day.
It was on one of these 10-day silent retreats that Johanna met her now husband, Jeff Archipley. For them, it was love at first si-lence, no talking required. Since then, the two of them have been inseparable, merging their twin flames as Aquarian visionaries (they also share the same birthday!). Together they are now raising two wildly creative children.
Not a coffee drinker herself, Johanna’s love for Pink Cloud is primarily rooted in her love for its founder, as well as for their joint passion to help people find the support they need to live full and rewarding lives, focused on health and freedom.
As the Creative Director of Pink Cloud Coffee, Johanna aims to infuse her artistic sensibilities in the playful whimsy of the company’s distinctive branding and style. The sky is the limit when it comes to the imaginative potential of this unique enterprise, and pink clouds abound throughout.
